Butler County Individual Finds Happiness and Success in Quest for Independence's Learn to Earn Program
Cincinnati, OH (May 19, 2009) – Tim Rohrig, a Butler County resident with Cerebral Palsy, recently joined the Quest For Independence (QFI) “Learn to Earn” vocational program and quickly found personal and professional success.
Tim’s story is perhaps best told in his own words, “My name is Tim Rohrig, I have Cerebral Palsy. I started at Quest for Independence in December 2008. I made some new friends. I showed the QFI staff that I am a hard worker and was able to show my computer skills. I like getting a check; it gives me extra money in my pocket. I hope my experience at QFI opens doors for other people that are disabled. It shows people that we are willing to work and we are hard workers.”
Tim’s parents are very happy with the program and his success and Tim’s mom shared, “My husband and I are so happy that Tim got this job. Tim has a warm personality and loves to be around people. It shows the community that adults with disabilities can be valued members of society. QFI has offered him an opportunity to be challenged with new responsibilities and to grow socially. We are very proud of him!”
Tim’s Butler County SSA, Brenda Pulvere, had this to say about QFI, “It is rare that all the pieces fall together for the individuals we serve. I am proud of Tim’s determination and confidence. I am extremely grateful to the QFI staff and administration for accepting Tim into their family and allowing him to fulfill his employment dream. THUMBS UP QFI!”
