Nursing Services

Wellness is made possible with the help of our nurses while flexibility is the key ingredient to our success. The caring and compassionate teams of licensed, professional nurses provide superior care to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Nurses coordinate and oversee medical services of these individuals while offering assistance and support to families or guardians for in-home environments.

Our nursing services include:

• Comprehensive Health Admission Assessments on every individual
• Ongoing Health Service Coordination and nursing consultation services for licensed and Supported Living Environments
• Ongoing training to staff to assist in meeting the guidelines for health service coordination
• Weekly training classes for staff that include Medication Administration Certification I, II, III and Medication Administration Re-certification classes
• Audit Services available to assist licensed and supported living homes
• Focus centered on optimal services, supports and recommendations for the individual’s health and safety

The goal is to compliment the services of the residential provider and the day programming staff while providing a sense of security through knowledge to our consumers and those who care for them.

Individual health plans are established and shared with the individual and those involved with their service. Attendance at ISP meetings and team meetings ensure that the individual’s medical needs and wants are addressed in the least restrictive and positive manner.

Our nurses are knowledgeable about DODD laws and rules governing services for individuals with disabilities. They share their knowledge by offering comprehensive training classes and continuing education courses to direct support staff and professionals as mandated by the State of Ohio.

Services are available in the Columbus area in a variety of community settings including ICFMRs for adult and children, group homes and adult day cares.
